'Paris-Bombay' that's Chanel's title of the new pre-fall 2012 collection. Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the palace of the Maharaja of Indore, a mansion built in the 30s by the German architect Eckart Muthesius.
Like clothes of an Indian princess gold and silver robes made of shimmering silk, sari-like designs, beaded tunics, high collars and wrapped skirts were shown. The famous tweed dresses were presented with lots of chains and there were jewel-encrusted flat sandals and pointy-toed boots with everything.
